Who we are
SunrisePuzzle is a website with daily games: a riddle of the day, a crossword, a guess-the-year game and a quote of the day. For questions about your data, write to info@sunrisepuzzle.com.

What we store when you play
- When you started and finished the riddle or crossword (the server measures the time), the number of tries, your wrong answers and the help you used.
- In the On this day game: your year guesses and points.
- Your nickname, if you enter one. It is optional; without it you appear as "Anonymous player".
- Your approximate location: city, region, country and continent. Cloudflare derives it from your IP address. We do not store your IP address.
- Approximate coordinates from your IP address are used only during your visit, to show sunrise and sunset times. We do not store them.
Why
To show the daily leaderboard and compare times by city, country and continent. A city appears on the leaderboard only once enough people play from there.
How long
We keep results for at most 12 months and then delete them.
What stays in your browser
The page remembers your games for today, the letters you typed in the crossword, your chosen level, your theme and your nickname (localStorage). The sp_lang cookie is set only when you change the language yourself. There are no tracking cookies or ads, and fonts load from this site, not from Google's servers.
Who processes data for us
The site and its database run on Cloudflare, which processes requests on our behalf.
Your rights
You can ask to see or delete your results (send us your nickname and the date you played). You can also complain to the Croatian data protection authority (AZOP).
